Who is responsible for your information

Nudge Ahead operates nudgeahead.co.uk and is the controller of personal information collected through this website.

[OWNER TO CONFIRM: legal business name, trading status and postal address]

Privacy contact: hello@nudgeahead.co.uk.

Information we collect

When you unlock the Free Homepage Preview, we collect your first name, email address, confirmation that you have read and agreed to the Privacy Policy, your separate marketing choice, the source of the registration and the time it was submitted.

The preview and kits may also store business answers, copy, colour choices, progress and uploaded-image references locally in your browser or device. The Free Preview photograph remains in local browser storage and is not included in copied prompt text.

If you contact us or buy a product or service, we may collect contact details, correspondence, order and access records, and the information needed to respond or fulfil the contract. Payment card details should be handled by the checkout provider rather than Nudge Ahead.

Technical services may process basic device, browser, IP address and security-log information when you use the site. Please do not submit special-category or other sensitive personal information.

Why we use it and our lawful bases

  • to unlock and deliver the Free Homepage Preview and remember access on your device
  • to answer enquiries and take steps you request before entering a contract
  • to provide purchased digital products, access support and essential service messages
  • to keep appropriate transaction, consent, security and legal records
  • to prevent misuse, spam and security incidents

Depending on the purpose, we rely on performance of a contract or steps before a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interests such as responding, operating securely and keeping proportionate records.

Optional marketing is separate from delivery. The marketing box is unticked by default. We send electronic marketing only where you have given valid consent, or where another genuinely applicable lawful basis and the UK electronic-marketing rules permit it. Essential access, order, security and service messages are not marketing.

Marketing choices

If you opt in, we may send helpful website tips and occasional Nudge Ahead offers. You can withdraw consent at any time using an unsubscribe link, where available, or by emailing us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

[OWNER TO CONFIRM: marketing/email provider and unsubscribe process before marketing begins]. No provider is claimed to be connected at present.

Storage, retention and security

Lead submissions are stored in the project's protected database. Browser-based kit answers and images remain on the device unless a feature clearly says otherwise. We use access controls and proportionate technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose collected, including access support, consent evidence, disputes, security and legal, tax or accounting obligations. Enquiry records are reviewed and deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Purchase records may need to be kept for longer statutory periods.

[OWNER TO CONFIRM: specific retention periods and deletion schedule before launch]

Processors and international transfers

We use service providers acting on our behalf where needed to host and secure the site, store submissions, deliver email, process payments and provide customer access. They should receive only the information needed for their role and must handle it under appropriate contractual and security terms.

  • Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel advertising measurement, where consent applies — see Cookies and local browser storage)

If information is transferred outside the UK, an appropriate lawful safeguard must be used and recorded.

Your data rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct or erase your information; restrict or object to processing; receive certain information in a portable format; and withdraw consent.

To exercise a right, email us. We may need to verify your identity. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, although we would welcome the chance to address the issue first.

Cookies and local browser storage

The site uses local browser storage and similar technology to remember preview access, saved answers, progress and on-device images. These functions are needed to provide the requested interactive tools.

The site also uses the Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) provided by Meta Platforms. Where it is active, it records page visits — including page addresses and referrers — together with standard device and browser information such as IP address, so Nudge Ahead can measure which pages are viewed and how advertising performs. This is advertising measurement.

If you have accepted advertising cookies, the Pixel also records one "Lead" event when you successfully sign up for the Free Homepage Preview, so we can count sign-ups that come from our adverts. This event contains only a random reference number — not your name, email address or anything you type into the preview.

The Meta Pixel is off by default for every visitor. It loads only after you press "Accept advertising cookies" in our cookie notice; if you press "Reject" or make no choice, the Pixel is not loaded and nothing is sent to Meta. Your choice, the time you made it and the version of the notice shown are saved in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again on every page. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" button at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing stops any further Pixel events and we delete Meta's cookies (_fbp, _fbc) set on this site where your browser allows. Withdrawal does not affect measurement that took place before. You can also use Meta's ad preferences and browser tools; Meta's own privacy policy explains how Meta handles this information.

We may update this policy when services or providers change. The current version will appear on this page.
